AI SEO · GEO · AEO
Get found in Google and in AI answers.
Search is splitting in two: a list of links, and an answer written by a model. RankRocket audits your site for both, and tells you, in plain English, what to change.
What we check
An AI readiness score, built from checks you can see.
Every crawl produces an AI readiness score out of 100 alongside the classic SEO score. These are the checks behind it.
AI crawler access
Reads your robots.txt the way each engine does and tells you which AI search crawlers can reach you: OAI-SearchBot and ChatGPT-User (OpenAI), Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, Applebot, DuckAssistBot, Amazonbot and Meta. Blocking a search crawler removes you from that engine's answers.
llms.txt
Checks that /llms.txt exists, is well-formed, and gives assistants a curated map of what you do and where your best pages are, the emerging convention for being easy to cite.
Entity and authorship signals
Looks for Organization or Person plus WebSite schema on the homepage, and author names and dates on articles: the signals answer engines use to decide whether you are a real, current source.
Answer-shaped content
Scores whether pages lead with direct answers under clear headings, keep a clean heading hierarchy, stay readable without JavaScript, and use consistent breadcrumbs, the structure an LLM can lift a citation from.
AI mention monitoring
Ask the questions your customers ask and see whether Gemini (with Google Search grounding), ChatGPT and Perplexity mention or recommend you: and which competitors they name instead. Runs on demand and weekly alongside scheduled crawls.
One list, ranked by impact
AI readiness findings land in the same Daily Mission as your classic SEO issues, each with the page affected and what to change it to. Export the lot as one file for a developer or an AI assistant.
SEO, AEO, GEO
Three acronyms, one job: be the source.
SEO gets you into the list of links. AEO (answer engine optimization) shapes your pages so an engine can lift a direct answer from them, snippets, People Also Ask, AI Overviews. GEO (generative engine optimization) makes your brand the one a model recommends inside the answer it writes.
They share almost all of their fundamentals. A page that is crawlable, states its answer under a clear heading, names its author and date, and belongs to an unambiguous entity does well in all three. That is why RankRocket puts the AI checks in the same task list as everything else instead of selling them as a separate product.
